Hi! I’m Samantha Macklin, a journalist and multimedia storyteller and a senior journalism student at Loyola Marymount University.

I’ve contributed to Los Angeles Magazine as an editorial intern and currently report on hyperlocal news across Los Angeles County with The Westside Current.

My goal is to build a career reporting for a major magazine or news outlet, with the New York Times always somewhere on the horizon.

For now, you’ll find me writing about the things I love most: pop culture, fashion, television, entertainment, and, of course, iced vanilla lattes!

My love for storytelling and human connection will always be at the center of my reporting, with a focus on telling stories that make people feel seen, understood, and connected to the world around them.
